National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • NDIS is the new way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers.
  • It provides support to individuals under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with reasonable and necessary supports.
  • Support includes but is not limited to community involvement and therapy services.
  • The scheme is administered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
  • Discovering Strength is funded to provide support under Improved Daily Living.  Although we provide Behaviour Support we are not funded to write Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Participants need to be self-managed or have a plan manager.  We are NOT able to assist if you are NDIA managed.
  • Please refer to the NDIS Price Guide for budget considerations.
  • For more information about the NDIS visit www.ndis.gov.au
